None of this is negotiable page by page, so if a term does not sit right with you, the sensible course is not to use the site.
One enquiry, one installer
This is a research and quoting service. We publish information about turf in the Hunter and we make a single introduction. We install nothing, we supply no turf, and we are not a comparison site: your enquiry is not auctioned across a panel and your number is not passed around. One vetted installer receives it and contacts you to arrange a measure. Everything after that happens between the two of you.
No cost, no obligation
Nothing on this site is charged to you, and sending an enquiry commits you to nothing at all. Declining the quote afterwards is an ordinary outcome and nobody will chase you over it.
The research is published in good faith, not warranted
A large part of this site is soil landscape data, water rules and council positions compiled suburb by suburb from government and utility sources, because nobody else in the market had done it. We name the source and date it. What we do not do is guarantee it. Mapping is generalised, council documents get replaced, and utility rules change. None of it is professional, trade, legal or financial advice, and anything decision-critical should be confirmed with the authority responsible for the rule, or with a qualified person who can look at your actual block.
Costs shown are indicative
Ranges and calculator outputs are planning figures drawn from published Australian supplier and industry data as at the date shown. They are estimates rather than offers or quotes, and nobody is bound by them. A real number depends on the yard: access, levels, drainage, and what has to come out before anything goes down. If the installer's price differs from our range, ask why, because the answer is usually in the preparation rather than in the grass.
The installer is not us
Installers referred from this site are independent businesses trading on their own account, not our staff, agents or subcontractors. We take reasonable steps to refer businesses that operate lawfully and carry current insurance, and that is screening, not a guarantee. We do not warrant any installer's workmanship, conduct, scheduling or pricing, and if something goes wrong with the job, the contract in question is the one between you and them.
How far our responsibility runs
So far as the law permits, neither Newcastle Turf Quotes nor Kerbside Websites is liable for loss or damage connected with your use of this site, with anything you relied on here, or with an installer we referred. That limitation does not touch the consumer guarantees and remedies given by the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be contracted out of. Where they apply, our liability is limited only as far as the law allows it to be.
Using our material
The writing, the design, the data compilations and the calculator are owned by Kerbside Websites except where a source is credited. Government material we quote stays with its publisher and is attributed on the page. Ask before republishing any of it.
Changes to these terms
They can be updated. The date at the top tells you when they last were, and carrying on with the site afterwards means the current version applies to you.
Which law applies
New South Wales law governs this agreement, for the straightforward reason that Kerbside Websites is a New South Wales business and contracts from there. Consumer rights available to you under Australian law generally are not affected by that choice.
